North American Studies have a long tradition in Bonn. Established as a joint venture between different disciplines in 1991 and closely cooperating with the University of Cologne, the North American Studies Program is dedicated to the study of the United States and Canada as an innovative transdisciplinary and comparative academic inquiry, to intercultural exchange, and to transatlantic relations.
